You'll join a supportive, hands-on team and work on some of the most advanced solar and battery systems in the market. Tasks & Responsibilities Solar & Battery Electrician Install and commission residential & commercial solar systems Work with battery technologies (Tesla Powerwall, Sigenergy, etc.) Troubleshoot system faults and complete high-quality electrical work Mentor apprentices and support team skill development Use cloud-based job management systems for reporting and scheduling Lead small-to-medium installation projects with responsibility and autonomy Solar Roofer / Panel Installer Install solar panels on residential & commercial rooftops Assist electricians during system setup and commissioning Ensure safe roof access, fixings, rails and structural mounting Conduct site preparation, safety compliance and quality assurance Work as part of an efficient rooftop crew delivering clean energy outcomes Skills & Experience Solar & Battery Electrician ACT Electrical Licence OR strong solar-battery experience willingness to gain accreditation Minimum 2 years' solar installation experience preferred Strong WHS understanding and safety-first attitude Fault-finding capability & problem-solving mindset Experience with job management systems (or willingness to learn) CEC Accreditation, EWP, White Card & Working at Heights (preferred but not essential) Solar Roofer / Panel Installer Roofing, carpentry, labouring or trades assistant background Working at Heights ticket (or willingness to obtain) Ability to follow installation steps accurately and safely Reliable, hardworking and team-focused attitude Interest in entering the solar and renewable energy sector Benefits & Perks $42-$60/hr super (based on experience & qualifications) Full-time role with strong demand and long-term job security Training opportunities certification pathways (CEC, Working at Heights, EWP) Work on advanced renewable technologies Clear career progression within a growing Canberra-based company Supportive team & strong safety culture About the company This Canberra-based renewable energy business specialises in high-quality solar and battery installations across residential and commercial markets.
